Japan Center at UWF presents Storytelling January 17th, Thursday, 1:00

You are cordially invited to attend Rakugo: The Art of Storytelling at UWF on Thursday, January 17th.

The event is free and open to the public.

The UWF World Languages Program is hosting “Rakugo: The Art of Storytelling,”a performance by Yanagiya Tozaburo III. Tozaburo III is a Shin’uchi (highest) ranked rakugo performer. Rakugo is a form of Japanese verbal entertainment in which a solo storyteller performs a comical story while seated. The event includes a viewing of Japanese rakugo with English subtitles, an English rakugo and a Q&A session. This event welcomes students, staff, faculty, and the general public. This event is sponsored by the World Languages Program, The Reubin O’D Askew Department of Government, The Association of Florida Teachers of Japanese and The Japan-America Society of Northwest Florida.
