Summer is in full swing at Pensacola Opera!
Each July, Pensacola Opera holds two weeks of summer Opera Camps for children and teens, ages 8-17, at the Pensacola Opera Center. Opera Campgives children a chance to explore the magic of opera through all of the elements of production: vocal coaching and dramatic training, audition techniques, and design experience. Campers build their own sets and costumes and showcase their hard-work and talents in a final performance. These performances for family and friends are also open to the public. If you are interested in attending a performance, dates and times are listed below:
Hansel and Gretel | Friday, July 15th at 5:00 p.m.
Aïda | Friday, July 29th at 5:00 p.m.
Financial assistance is also available to those in need. If you are interested in sponsoring a camper or would like more information about scholarship opportunities, please email Amanda Cook, Director of Education and Community Outreach atamanda@pensacolaopera.com.
