Good afternoon!
I have a few updates to report to you. The first issue is the new tree cutting schedule. TriState will be sending a tree cutting crew and a trimming crew from December 14th to 16th. Only the trimming crew will be out from December 21st to 23rd. We appreciate your patience so far and hope this will be the last change.
A fencing contractor has been out to review the scope of the work we are asking him to perform. He is preparing some estimates for us. He is warning of supply delays due to COVID production shortages and the number of hurricanes this season creating an increase in demand. Not a great sequence of circumstances, to be sure. When we know something, we will let you know timing and so forth. I suspect we will need to close the pool and tennis courts at some point.
We have a solution to the beaver dam situation on the south side of the neighborhood and are addressing the issue. The flooding risk and mosquito infestation should already be subsiding.
This morning our yoga instructor suggested we turn our minds towards gratitude during the practice and focus on an object(s) of our own gratitude. Oddly, both my husband and I chose the same focus. We were struck by how the unfortunate events of this year have led us to staying close to home where we have made so many new friends. Work and travel had prevented that before we had to shelter in. So, you all were our focus. We are grateful for new friends and your generous spirits. Ed and I want to wish all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Look forward to seeing many of you at the December 5th Annual (Zoom) Meeting!
