For clarification, the emulsion that is used in the process is water soluble. If there is any possibility of rain, the work on whatever street is scheduled, will be postponed, and that street or section will be moved to the end of the schedule. The schedule, therefore, will not substantially change. For instance, seal coating scheduled for Thursday, Mar. 4, on “Foggy Bottom from Lorikeet through cul-de-sac and West bound lane from Rookery to Lorikeet” could not be done on March 3 due to the possibility of rain. This will now be done on March 24. Still scheduled for March 4 is seal coating of “both lanes of Lorikeet and East bound lane of Foggy Bottom from Lorikeet to Rookery”. The west bound lane of Foggy Bottom from Lorikeet to Rookery will be open for traffic.
Please carefully pay attention to the cones and directions. We know this is an inconvenience, but with everyone’s help, we can keep the inconvenience to a minimum.
Note again, the schedule will not shift – just whatever work was scheduled for a rainy or bad weather day or a “someone left a sprinkler on” day – that section of work will be moved to the end of the schedule.
Thanks for patience.
