The Friends of the Southwest Branch Library volunteers Nancy Stearns, Maryann Johnson, Cathy Ingram and Jim & Mary Ayers greeted visiting snowbirds and promoted the library’s Boutique at the last of the Perdido Key Area Chamber of Commerce Snowbird Roosts at the Perdido Bay United Methodist Church Community Center.

After a delicious $5 lunch provided by Flippers, visitors received Friends inscribed pencils and pens, bookmarks while checking out the books and greeting cards that sell in the Boutique.  Many of the visitors already discovered and frequent Southwest Branch Library and commented on what a great little library it is!

Friends of the Southwest Branch Library is a non-profit 501c(3) all volunteer organization that supports the Southwest Branch of the West Florida Public Library through volunteerism and fundraising.  Friends are in need of volunteers to help with donations, organize events, and work in the Boutique.  Call or visit the library to inquire.

The R.E.A.D. to Dogs handlers and their dogs will visit the Friends at their next Friends Quarterly Member Meeting Monday, April 13 at 7:00 pm.

For information call 850-453-7780, visit mywfpl.com or visit the library at 12248 Gulf Beach Hwy in Pensacola at Bauer Rd across from Big Lagoon State Park
