Summer Events for kids at Big Lagoon State Park and at the Library

Our pre-school story times for June, July and August 5th are at Big Lagoon State Park Amphitheatre on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Our K-5th grade Summer events for June and July are at Big Lagoon State Park Amphitheatre on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Summer Reading Pre-school Story Time: All programs are Tuesday at 10:30 am at Big Lagoon State Park Amphitheatre, 12301 Gulf Beach Hwy, free admission to the park with your library card. ____________________________________________

6/3 Michelle’s Magical Poodles: Michelle Harrell brings animal education & entertainment with her rescued poodles Cupid, Pirouette, and Blondie.
6/10 ‘Wild West Show’: Bruce & Vernelle Brannen present a page out of history taking you to the early years of the West with stories, poems and cowboy demonstration.
6/17 Pat Nease Storyteller: National award winning, emits high energy, a quick wit and dry humor with her ‘lies’ and stories.
6/24 Pensacola State College Gymnastics: Tiny Tumblers: youngest gymnastics students demonstrate their skills and confidence with basic level performance.
7/1 & 7/2: Reno’s Reptiles: Tim & Starla Reno bring a menagerie of lizards, snakes, turtles and more!

K-5th grade 1st program is June 4 (10:30) “Page Turners Adventures (a comedy group) at Big Lagoon State Park

Following are events at the Southwest Branch Library:

Saturday, June 14, 2:00 pm: American Girl Book Club special event with our very own local American Girl Mary Grace Reeves. The book ‘American Girl Isabelle’ will be discussed. Preregister please, first 30 girls, ages 7 and up.
Saturday, June 21, 2:00 pm: American Girl Book Club: ‘Meet Caroline’ will introduce the character and books distributed to girls. Preregister please.
Saturday, June 28, 10:00 am to 12 Noon: R.E.A.D. to Dogs; Most excellent furry listeners, Molly and Donovan, love to hear stories read to them by children. Pre register please.
Thursday, June 12 & 26 at 10:00 am: Computer classes. The Internet and The Mouse
Saturday, June 28, 1:00 to 3:00 pm: Teen Matinee Movie. ‘Bandslam’ will be offered along with popcorn and lemonade compliments of The Friends of the Southwest Branch Library.
