Please use the “aroundheronsforest.com” web site to post missing pet infomation. This will get your information out to people who care in Herons Forest very quickly. You can even include photographs. Flyers have been posted on sign posts and placed in mail boxes recently. This is ineffective, illegal, and does damage to community property. These flyers can result in considerable fines.
18 U.S.C. 1725 states:”Whoever knowingly and willfully deposits any mailable matter such as statements of accounts, circulars, sale bills, or other like matter,on which no postage has been paid, in any letter box established, approved, or accepted by the Postal Service for the
receipt or delivery of mail matter on any mail route with intent to avoid payment of lawful postage thereon, shall for each such offense be fined under this
title”
Article IV, Section 12 of the Heron’s Forest also prohibits posting signs and fines may be issued for violations. The use of staples or tape on sign posts causes significant damage. The flyers inevitably cause litter.
Thank you for helping to keep Heron’s Forest the most desirable community in Pensacola.
Sincerely,
