Escambia County will host a public meeting on Monday, August 27, from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Perdido Bay Community Center, 13660 Innerarity Point Road, to introduce the Perdido Key Master Plan project, the consultants handling the project and the public comment process.

The goal of the Perdido Key Master Plan project is to create a long-term vision and implementation plan that maintains and protects the quality of life for residents and businesses in the Perdido Key area. Additional public meetings will be held providing a hands-on planning and design process that will begin to create and evaluate multiple alternatives for the future of Perdido Key. Land use alternatives, economic development incentives, transportation improvements and community livability will all be incorporated into the master planning process.

Staff and consultants will be on hand to provide more detailed information, answer questions and address concerns.

Additional information regarding this project will be available soon on the County’s website. You can also receive information on this meeting, as well as other issues concerning Perdido Key, by following @myperdidokey on Twitter.

Please join us for this initial meeting and help create Perdido Key’s future.
