Happy New Year - vaccines are coming but wear your mask to keep us all safe
We are removing the Wreaths Across America wreaths from 19,500 gravesites at Barrancas on Sat., Jan. 16 and could use some help. If you have DoD ID, can access the base, and would like to help, contact Marcia Sevold at mcsevold@gmail.com. The times are 8-10:00 and 10:30-12:30. You must wear a mask, have gloves, and a long pole, rake, PVC pipe is useful for gathering up wreaths, bringing them to the street, and loading them on pickup trucks. Help off-loading the trucks at one of the five dumpsters is also helpful.
Due to COVID restrictions, you must register with Marcia mcsevold@gmail.com and be assigned a time and place - New or Old Side. Please refer to www.barrancaswreaths.com for details.
Snakes on the Trail
Twice over the past few weeks I have been running down the trail to Trout Point and have run into a cottonmouth on the trail and beside the trail. Just wanted to alert everyone to be very alert and careful.
Well we have a creek behind our home.we moved last winter and since spring at least once a week they’re in the front yard.it was on the driveway under the car, near mail box, even in front of the main door.we couldn’t open the door because of it.we have 3 years old kid and he’s not allowed to play in the yard, which makes it so boring for him.
